Norway

During the Cold War, Norway was a very important part of NATO. With the Soviet Union’s most important naval resources stationed in the Kola Peninsula, Norway was a lock for the Soviet Union to reach the Atlantic.
When Germany capitulated after World War II, many military installations in Norway were left intact. Who at the beginning of the Cold War became part of the Norwegian defense.
